CALATHEA RATTLE SNAKE
Calathea insignis, commonly known as the Rattlesnake Plant, is recognised for its long, narrow leaves decorated with bold, polka dots of deep green with a lime green back ground. The distinctive pattern resembles the skin of a rattlesnake, giving the plant its common name, while the undersides of the foliage display rich purple tones.

Habitat: Prefers to be kept in warmer, humid temperatures. Mist the leaves regularly or use a humidity tray. Avoid sudden temperature drops, and keep away from draughts.
Light: Bright, indirect light. Shield from direct sun.
Water: Water when top inch of soil feels dry, ensure pot has drainage to avoid root rot.
Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix to avoid root rot.
Fertiliser: Will benefit from the application of a balanced plant fertiliser during peak growth periods.
